Leaps of Faith

Everyone gets scared…we all have inhibitions that keep us from something…maybe it’s fear, maybe it’s past failure, perhaps it’s someone...

Not sure what it is for you, but for me it’s failure…it’s rejection…it’s uncertainty at times as well…when I’m about to embark on a new journey, I find myself thinking that I just might not make it because of my inadequacies…I might just not make it because I fear that I can’t…I fear that all of my efforts, all of my ‘tries’ are just not good enough…

But then something happens; something that I’m unaware of…something that I know is the voice and touch of what I can’t see…it often surprises me…and opens my eyes to understand the step that is in front of me…it helps me to make leaps of faith that I never thought were possible…I’m reminded in those moments that I can do ANYTHING through the One who created me…

Be confident and know that all good things will indeed, come to pass…and that you can become the person you always KNEW you could be…and leave fear in the dust behind you…

Ugh..... I fight this battle literally EVERY DAY. I hear you so loud and clear.

I just wrote about Jonah today, about his journey to Nineveh. I haven't delved into chapter 2 yet, but only wrote about chapter 1. But I did read ahead, and the thing that caught my attention the most was this: The Lord told Jonah AGAIN to get his rear-end to Nineveh. And then the Lord promised Jonah "When you get there, I WILL TELL YOU WHAT TO SAY."

***shock!!!!***

Ohhhhh yeah.... that's right. Again, sheepishly, we're reminded that the Lord will give us the strength and the power to know what to do and how to do it. Why do we have fear? Why do we worry about rejection? We don't really possess inadequacies because He provides us with the ammo in life to succeed - even though success in OUR terms don't determine success in HIS terms.

So jump out on that limb and take a chance if you know your gifts in life are taking you a certain direction. :) You were probably meant to take those risky roads. If you "fail" you really haven't if God is on your side, right? Who are we to determine if our failures are really failures? :)

I'm so guilty of this too. You're going to have to remind ME of this truth as time goes on!!

Be blessed!!

YOU ROCK! Thank you! I must say, I teared up a little reading your comment...I love it that communication can be so 'eye-opening'! It's great to know that there is someone out there, that feels the same way! You are wonderful! thank you! `emily
