Sorry for the LONG pause in posts...it's been extremely busy with work...life...you guys know the routine!
Anyway, just a thought I had today...
It's rather amazing to me how 'alone' people appear, how transparent they are. Maybe, they are just as unsure as I am or perhaps, they are afraid of connection. It’s a bit hard to read people at times, bit it also is so relevant, vibrant, and revolutionary when you do...

I've noticed this too. Its the interesting thing that I love to contemplate while just sitting in a coffee shop, glancing around me at the other people, and wondering what their day consists of - their tasks, but at the same time, what goes on "underneath" - their thoughts, worries, joys, fears, things that drive them. Sometimes I see just "routine" people who seem to just exist because they have to. Empty. But they contemplate their own purposes, but either (1) assume they don't really have one, or (2) are just too lazy to really seek it. Sometimes I notice just plain emptiness in their eyes, of mundane life, of purpose not worth seeking in their opinion, or even not willing to seek it because it might mean they discover a greater cause for their life, and that might mean giving up the life they know as comfortable.
Great post, Emily! I understand the lag between posts - I'm in the same boat. I've been so consumed with my son and his growth spurts. ha! I'm dying to get back to my blog and book. I have so much to write about..... Be blessed!!! :)
